No-Wake

Due to the high water levels in Lower Herring Lake there is extensive soil erosion and property damage around this lake.

We have lost trees, waterfront edges, beaches, and topsoil in our yards.  It is costing us hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage and repairs. It has impact on septic systems as well.

The State of Michigan through the DNR has imposed a temporary 5 mph speed limit for boats and a no wake rule to prevent extra wave damage through December, 2020.
